Bird Migration

Migratory birds need healthy and diverse habitats along their flight routes (flyways) so that they can breed and raise their young every spring and leave for better food sources and optimal climates every fall – these birds travel along the Mississippi and Atlantic Flyways that reach from Patagonia in South America to Canada’s Arctic. Ensuring safe travels along these routes, particularly in eastern Canada’s six provinces, helps these birds to survive and thrive.
