Our Partners

The success of the Eastern Habitat Joint Venture is a direct result of collaborative efforts among a diversity of partners delivering science-based, on-the-ground conservation projects in high-priority wetland and associated upland areas.

The EHJV partnership includes six Canadian provinces – Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. Within each province, government departments, non-governmental organizations, landowners and hundreds of other conservation partners work together to implement activities that support the North American Waterfowl Management Plan. Bird Studies Canada, Ducks Unlimited Canada, the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Wildlife Habitat Canada are the main non-governmental organizations. Numerous public and private agencies with a broad range of landscape conservation interests also support EHJV efforts. In addition, approximately 7,000 volunteer landowners have actively participated in EHJV programs.
